This page explains storage used by the site's own static code. That code does not set HTTP cookies, load advertising trackers or run analytics. Reading the guides does not require optional browser storage.
Cookies and local storage are different
Cookies are small values that a browser may send with website requests. Local storage keeps values in your browser for a particular website and is not automatically attached to requests. Both can remember information between visits, so both deserve a clear explanation.
If you use the controls below, this site stores one preference value using local storage. It does not store your contact draft, name or email address there. Selecting Accept does not load any optional technology: none is currently implemented in this site's code.
- Storage key
- sprylscandihoppr-storage-choice
- Purpose
- Remember the storage choice you explicitly save on this page.
- Possible values
- essential or accept. These are preference labels, not unique visitor identifiers.
- Duration
- No automatic expiry is set. The value remains until you remove it, clear site data or your browser removes it.
- Scope
- The current browser profile and this website's origin. A choice on one device is not automatically transferred to another.
Your storage preference
Both choices leave analytics and advertising off. Saving a choice only records the preference described above.
JavaScript is needed to read or save a preference.
Other browser behaviour
The browser may cache pages and images to improve loading. It may also remember form entries according to your settings. Copying a draft writes to your clipboard only when you request it; downloading a draft creates a file only when you request it. These actions are distinct from cookies and local storage.
Managing and removing data
Use Remove saved choice to delete the preference used by this code. You can also clear site data through your browser settings. Blocking local storage does not prevent reading the guides, although preference controls may report that they cannot save a choice. Clearing the preference does not delete downloaded draft files, clipboard history or email you have sent.
Delivery services and updates
Hosting infrastructure can process request information to deliver and secure the website. This page describes the storage implemented in the site's supplied code, rather than asserting that every hosting environment behaves identically. Any future optional technology should be documented before use and, where required, remain off until valid consent is obtained.
